Första delen i Åsa Uddhs barnboksserie om Albin och Knorp. Serien handlar om sorg, känslor, spännande upplevelser och att kunna gå vidare efter att ha mist ett syskon.

Endelig sommerferie. Maria, Albins bedste veninde, får lov til at komme med til torpet på Fårö. Knorp, den lille skovnissen, der hjalp Albin med at bearbejde sin søster Linneas sorg, må fra tid til anden træde til, når børnene er på eventyr og støder ind i vanskeligheder.

Finally summer vacation. Maria, Albin’s best friend, is allowed to come to the farm on Fårö. Knorp, the little forest gnome who helped Albin deal with his sister Linnea’s grief, has to step in from time to time when the children are on adventures and run into difficulties.

The children are allowed to cycle to Brissund and look for beach finds. On their way home, they take off towards the nature reserve Brucebo. They wouldn’t have done that.

Mother is not the same either. Is she sick? When she finally tells the truth, Albin is furious.

How will this end?

“My mother works in the kitchen at Rockrose Resort. We live there all summer. Mother cooks and does the dishes while I’m on summer vacation.”

So begins the story of Algot who one day finds a nice, yellow dress in an old cupboard at the boarding house. He puts it on and calls himself Beatrice, because it feels good.
