Founded in 2013, headquartered in Frederikshavn, Denmark, with the belief that stories builds a better world.
At Lange Publisher, we recognize that our authors are at the heart of what we do.
My thoughts: This is, if I'm not mistaken, author Göran Brohammer's debut when it comes to novels, he has a number of non-fiction books behind him. If you were to try to place the book within a genre, which you often want to do, I would say that this is a philosophical suspense novel that wants to take a stand when it comes to environmental and animal rights and even human rights. We follow a man, Artan, who goes out into the world on various journeys, all of the journeys have in common that he tries to uncover different types of misdeeds when it comes to either the environment, animal rights, and human rights. He does it in parts of the world where these things occur, the fact is that even in these countries it is a danger to bring out the truth. Those who commit these errors find it easy to resort to violence to hide the truth. As I said, the book has a philosophical vein and it is the main character's thoughts that we get to share, his outlook on life, and the experiences that shape him through life. In a way, I could understand his train of thought, but in another way, I had a hard time getting through to him. It could be that as a character he was so far removed from what I associate myself with when it comes to daring to do things and responding to whims that you get. I am the one who dares a little and takes my time before I go into something, so I often do what I first thought was another matter. I found that I felt that Artan responded quickly to his whims and quickly plunged into the unknown, something that contradicted my own train of thought. The language is easy to grasp and the plot takes many turns. We experience a dark side of what is going on in the world when it comes to the issues it raises. The main character is a real environmental activist and is really passionate about it, if you are interested in these issues and with a philosophical view, you will probably find this interesting. It is a mix of an outlook on life and scientific thoughts, finding a place in the world or rather a meaning with one's life, but also understanding the universe to a greater extent and a travelogue as we get to experience many parts of the world. There is an element of suspense if you prefer it in the books you read.
Read the reviewThree women, three generations! This is a story in the genre of work literature where three female portraits portray the injustices of the working class. The story spans three generations. The women's struggle is in focus and displayed in a believable way. The characters are reflected well through vivid dialogues which would have been even stronger if unnecessary parts had been cleaned out. The environments are rendered chronologically using time markers. The view of women slowly loosens up between the years 1923 and 1968. Finally, it reaches the sanctity of marriage, which is reproduced well. It is through Karin, in the youngest generation, that women's moral shackles loosen their grip. The story flows on without major surprises at a somewhat slow pace. The sadness, disappointment, and joy that sometimes twists around the characters, gives the book the necessary ounce of drama that I, as a reader, so badly needed. The plot gets 3 points. The environment and time descriptions and the dialogues, which in my opinion carry the whole, get 3++. The overall rating is 4 out of 5 possible points.
Read the reviewA brick I am happy to recommend to our younger readers Adam Stormstjärna and the lost legacy by Emil Karlsson published by @langepublisher a book of 781 pages. Adam and his brother Björn move to their grandmother in Öland after their mother's sudden death. A move that will change their lives completely as Adam inherits a box from his mother. Now their lives are at stake and they are forced to face magic and strange creatures they didn't think existed. A fight for life and death... A solid brick that can make you hesitate, can you bear to read? YES, you do without any trouble. Short chapters and an incredibly captivating book that takes you further after each new chapter. I can imagine the younger generation having a hard time letting it go. Easy to read and good descriptions and it makes you think of Spiderwick, gnomes and goblins, and the mysterious island. Really recommended for those who like fantasy and are not afraid of the thickness of the book. I was also hooked on it, I might add. The tension is unbearable.
Read the review“Lilith Linda has an empathic personality which makes for a nice dialogue. I have not published books at Lange but received support in my own writing process. Lange works closely with their writers and makes careful choices. If you have just started and need tutor help, or support in the process, or want to release your book, please take a look at Lange, a small and personal publisher with a big heart.”
“Lilith Linda is a true person, interested in the history of each unique person. The interest in stories taken from the life story and life perspective of the little man gets every person she comes into contact with to grow … grow and believe in themselves. To “look” between the lines and beyond the words to “truly” get to know the individual behind all roles of life, is Lilith’s greatness!”
“Thank you, for your comprehensive work with my manuscript! You have really gone through my text in-depth, and it feels so professional and absolutely wonderful. I will get started and work immediately with it. You do not realize how much I appreciate your commitment and your comments. It feels great to collaborate with someone who sees opportunities instead of difficulties, someone who is also able to manage such a big project. From the very first contact with you at Lange, I felt that you were quite right for me. You are such talents! If you have just finished writing your first novel or perhaps a short story, you will receive a lot of professional help from this publisher. I myself especially benefited from the solid editorial work that my editor did for me. As an author at Lange, you also get more influence over the design and cover of the book, which I especially appreciate.”
I think they do a fine and exciting job at Lange Publisher. The tone is always friendly and accommodating. The publisher is characterized by a kind of unspoken desire to always be at the authors' disposal and to see and confirm every step of a publication. I am delighted with Lange's professionalism and constant desire to develop and do better. If extra resources are needed, they are not afraid to roll up their sleeves and provide writers and artists with the means to create. At the same time, there is a personal and warm tone that makes you feel welcome and needed. It feels like Lange is on its way to becoming the largest family business in the publishing world, given its breadth across Scandinavia and the will and passion to really publish books - and many! It's fun to communicate with Lange and it's always fun to get opinions and suggestions on how to think and rethink things that don't work as well. There is room to grow with Lange and that's what I like best about this publisher!
“Lange meets all expectations of a professional publisher. Our cooperation is characterized by mutual trust, great creativity, and great joy. In particular, I appreciate the response that I receive continuously. Your sensitivity to the text gives confidence and my book could not end up in safer hands! Thank you once again for all the work and all the time you put into my script. Through Lange, a new door has been opened and I have the pleasure of continuing to write”
