What makes Lange Publisher different from other publishers?

Are you a self-publishing company?

No, we are not a self-publishing house. As an Innovation Publisher, we work collaboratively with authors, offering professional editorial, design, marketing, and distribution services. Our selective process ensures that every manuscript published under the Lange Publisher name meets the highest quality standards.
You benefit from the best of both worlds: professional mentorship and publishing support in one package.

We combine the best elements of traditional publishing with a forward-thinking approach. We are selective about the manuscripts we publish under our exclusive logo, ensuring only the highest-quality works are brought to life. However, we also provide professional support to authors who wish to elevate their work to its fullest potential, whether or not they are selected for full publication.

This approach allows us to offer personalised support, professional guidance, and global distribution, while empowering authors to retain more creative control and a higher share of royalties compared to traditional publishing.

Do you accept all manuscripts for publication?

No, we are highly selective. We evaluate manuscripts based on quality, potential, and alignment with our publishing goals. For manuscripts not selected for full publication, we still offer professional support to help authors refine their work.

What languages do you work with?

We currently offer editorial support in English, Swedish, and Danish. We also offer translation services to expand your manuscript to other markets. We release books in multilanguages.

What support do you offer for selected manuscripts?

We determine what support your manuscript requires to become publication-ready. This may include editing, design, translation, and marketing, tailored to each project.

Do you offer audiobook production and translation?

Yes. We work with trained narrators in several languages, and use professional translators to preserve the quality and tone of your manuscript.

Do you have in-house printing?

Yes, we print on demand using environmentally responsible materials. We also store stock at global locations to ensure fast, sustainable delivery.

What is the “Seven Pens” Journey?

Our Seven Pens represent the full development process of a book. These can be purchased individually or bundled, depending on whether you are published under our imprint or publishing independently.

For authors published by Lange Publisher, we cover certain parts of the process, while the author contributes to the text-based work. Here's how it breaks down:

Dreamer’s Pen - Manuscript assessment (free)
Heart of the Story Pen - Developmental editing (author-funded)
Story Weaver’s Pen - Structural editing (author-funded)
Polished Voice Pen - Copyediting (author-funded)
Perfection Pen - Proofreading (author-funded)
Legacy Showcase Pen - Cover design and formatting (publisher-funded)
Global Impact Pen - Publication, translation & marketing

We also offer an eighth Pen, the Legacy Masterpiece Pen, a full-service package tailored for self-publishers or authors publishing outside our imprint.

Can I purchase the Pens individually?

Yes. You can buy each Pen separately or as part of a bundled offer.

What is the O.P.A. membership programme?

Our Precious Author (O.P.A.) is a membership programme with various levels of editorial, mentorship, and publishing support, depending on your goals.

Working with Lange Publisher

How do I get started?

Submit your manuscript to langepublisher@gmail.com. We’ll send you a free First Impression Letter outlining feedback and possible next steps.

If selected, your manuscript will go through:

Initial Assessment
Tailored Support Plan
Collaborative Development with our team

As one of our authors, you’ll join our Inner Circle, a community of writers who grow together. We ensure full transparency, no work begins without your approval and a signed contract.

How long does the process take?

Developmental editing: approx. 4 - 6 weeks
Full publishing: up to 12 months (varies by language and scope)

Can I request revisions?

Yes! Collaboration is key. We welcome feedback and clearly outline revision terms before starting.

Pricing

How are your Pens and memberships priced?

We offer:

Character-based pricing (for editing, translation, etc.)
Fixed-price bundles (for full-service packages)

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, we offer flexible instalments for larger projects.

Who covers what? Cost responsibilities in our model

As an Innovation publisher, Lange Publisher shares the publishing journey with the author.

We cover:

Formatting and layout
Cover design
Printing and inventory
Global distribution
Marketing and promotional strategy

You (the author) cover:

Editing and proofreading
Translation (if needed)
Audiobook production (if chosen)
Text development & revisions

This ensures high-quality results while offering better royalty shares and creative freedom than traditional publishing.

Who do we work with?

1. Authors published under our imprint:

You pay only for services related to your manuscript (e.g. editing, optional translation/audiobook).
We pay for production, printing, distribution, and marketing.

2. Independent/self-publishing authors:

You can still work with us using our Legacy Masterpiece Pen, a full-service solution. In this case, you fund the full project.

In all cases, terms are clearly communicated before any agreement is signed.

Do you help with marketing?

Yes, through our Global Impact Pen and Legacy Masterpiece Pen, including campaign planning and audience outreach.

What royalty rates do you offer?

Depends on your package:

O.P.A. Visionary: 30%
O.P.A. Creator: 40%
O.P.A. Legacy: 50%
Non-members: custom agreement

I’ve never published before. Can you help?

Absolutely. We specialise in guiding first-time authors from manuscript to market.

Can you work with an unfinished manuscript?

Yes. We assist with both completed and partially completed projects.

Do you guarantee publication?

We do not guarantee acceptance under our imprint, but we always offer support to elevate your work and increase its success potential.
